I am just writing to thank everyone at St. James
for all their support and hard work over the past nine and a half years
I have been their Vicar
and for their kind gift to me in my farewell service today.
In particular I want to thank my wife Hazel without whom
it would have been impossible to have got through my 34 years in the ministry,
Her unconditional love and support has gone largely unsung
but must never be underestimated.
We want to wish Ian well in his new ministry in St. James and assure him and his family of our prayers and good wishes
as he takes on the leadership of both St. James and Christchurch.
Goodbye and God bless you all.
Mark and Hazel

As a community of Christians, called by Jesus Christ, we believe that the Christian Faith is good news for everyone. It centres on Jesus’ life, death and resurrection with the power to transform us and the world in which we live.

St. James is an Anglican Church in the Uplands part of Swansea.

As Anglicans we affirm our belief in historic Christianity revealed in the Bible, the 1662 Book of Common Prayer and summarised in the three Creeds – the Apostles’, Nicaean and Athanasian Creed.
