Welcome

First built as a chapel of ease for Swansea St. Mary's, St James' opened in 1867.  After St. Mary's was destroyed during the Second World War it became the home for that congregation until St Mary's was reopened.  St James' became a separate parish in 1985.

We are part of the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon in The Church in Wales.

Our Mission Statement

Through worship and fellowship, the family of the church at St James' seeks to care and reach out to the wider community with the love of Christ and to provide a place of hospitality and welcome. Particularly aware of our responsibility towards the children, youth and elderly of the parish, we will attempt to use our resources for their support.

A warm welcome awaits you
