our purpose

good news

St. James’ primary calling as a church is to pray for and proclaim – in word and deed - the kingdom of God in accordance with Jesus’ teaching in the Gospels (see Matthew 6:9-13 etc).

This – and all we do as a result - is framed within the two greatest commandments:

'Love the Lord your  God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind’ and  ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’  (Matthew 22:37-39).

Sundays until Lent - Sermon series on 1 John

Tuesday evenings at 7.30 and Monday mornings at 10.00 (Parish Centre) - The Letter to the Romans
Sunday sermon series in Lent - "Ways of the Cross"

****The Bible Course has been put back until after Easter as the Bible Society is updating all the materials for the course. Watch this space for news.****
