Life Groups

In our Mission Statement we refer to Jesus' promise to give those who put their faith in him a life that is full.  What does that look like?  Look at these verses from Psalm 1:

1. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
2. but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.
3. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all he does, he prospers.

Just as trees need water, so we need God's word and wisdom which we find in the Holy Scriptures and the person of Christ Himself.  One way of drawing from this life is to read the Bible prayerfully at home, but another important way is to read and discuss it with others, learning how to interpret and understand what God is saying through the different genres that comprise the Scriptures.  We do this in what we call Life Groups and anyone is welcome to join.  We currently have three. Here are the details:

Mondays at 10.30am held in the Parish Centre.  The vicar leads the sessions.

Tuesdays at 7.30pm held in the Parish Centre.

Fridays at Sylvia Nock’s home at 10.30am.
